Flat Stanley

Grant Forsyth is the son of my cousin Charlie. (that makes him my 1st cousin once removed, I think, or is it second cousin?)

Grant is in Mrs Shield's class at Durham Elementary School in Tigard, Oregon, USA. They are studying geography and letter writing. As part of this project, their friend "Flat Stanley" is travelling the world, collecting photos of his explorations.

Flat Stanley is currently visiting me in Northamptonshire, England.

15 November

Today, I showed him the sheep in the field across the road from me, and then took him to visit my orphaned Cardigan Welsh Corgi Pups. The puppies are 8 days old and are being fostered by a flatcoat retriever bitch, called Rowan.

The field across from my house.

If you look very closely, you will see the "ridge and furrow" markings, remains of medeival farming.

Why won't the sheep come any closer?

A bunch of corgi puppies

Stanley visits while foster mum Rowan feeds the puppies lunch.

It's easy to weigh puppies while they sleep!

After lunch, puppies take a nap

Oh, how sweet....
